Error: Scheduling is unavailable because the xxxx streaming source is in use

Question:

When attempting to create a Scheduled playlist, I receive the following error message:

Note: scheduling is unavailable because the xxxx streaming source is in use,
which does not support scheduling.

What does this mean, and how do I correct it?

Answer:

This message indicates that you are not using ices-cc or sc_trans v2 as your streaming source for your autoDJ. ices-cc and sc_trans2 provide features which Centova Cast uses for its track scheduling capabilities.

Other streaming sources simply do not offer the necessary functionality for track scheduling, and thus these feature will be unavailable to you if you are not using ices-cc or sc_trans v2.

ices-cc is a free, open-source product. More information about ices-cc is available at:

[/en/icescc/]

I am using ices-cc or sc_trans v2, but I still see this message -- how do I fix this?

If you are, in fact, using ices-cc or sc_trans v2, but you still see this message, then you most likely have not configured Centova Cast correctly to identify the application as ices-cc or sc_trans2.

Ensure that you have correctly registered the application with Centova Cast as described in the Adding Additional Software section of the manual.
