Yes, as of Centova Cast v2.2, it is possible to select the preferred streaming server type (ShoutCast, IceCast, etc.) from the "Server type..." dropdown list when creating a new account.

If you do not see both ShoutCast and IceCast in the list, this means that you have not yet configured Centova Cast to use both server types.  To do so:

1. Begin by ensuring that you have installed both ShoutCast and IceCast on your server.  If you have not yet done so, you will need to ask your systems administrator to install the appropriate software for you as described here.
   
   Remember that IceCast is a third-party software package so if you are not sure if it's installed, it's probably not, and you probably need to install it.
   
2. Login to Centova Cast as "admin" and click the "Server Software" link.
3. Click on the server type that you wish to activate.
4. Enter the path to the server software on your server.  This would have been provided to you by your systems administrator in step 1.
5. Select "Enabled: Yes".
6. Save your changes.

When you return to the account list, you'll find both ShoutCast and IceCast under the "Server type..." list when creating an account.
