Centova Messenger is a full-featured, cross-platform instant messaging client which requires no software installation on the end-user's computer. It offers the "look and feel" of a typical themed desktop application, but runs entirely from the user's web browser.

Centova Messenger was developed using the PHP programming language. To assist in allowing developers to integrate our product with third-party web sites, web applications, and content management systems, Centova Messenger includes a convenient PHP-based programming API to automate many integration tasks. The API makes it easy to automate tasks such as creating new XMPP Server accounts and logging users into Centova Messenger.

For developers of other programming languages or other power users who are not developers, Centova Messenger also includes a CGI-based API to automate the same types of integration tasks using nothing more than an HTTP GET request.
