Centralized Administration :: Maintain and Upgrade with Ease Centova Messenger is an ideal solution for use in business environments. It is designed to be installed and maintained in a central location on a corporate web server, thus eliminating the need for costly deployment and maintenance of traditional desktop instant messaging applications. End-users can simply launch an URL in a web browser to login and communicate with colleagues. Secure Remote Access :: Work Offsite with Confidence Because Centova Messenger is web-based, remote access by offsite employees is simple and inexpensive. End-users can launch a chat session and communicate with colleagues from any computer having a web browser. When used on an SSL-capable web server, all communications between the web server and the browser are fully encrypted, making Centova Messenger as secure as a typical desktop instant messenger. Based on XMPP :: Open Standards Use of XMPP (also known as the Jabber® protocol) allows unparalleled flexibility, security, and control over your instant messaging experience. Whether your situation calls for an internal corporate messaging solution, or the ability to communicate with millions of other users worldwide, XMPP is well-suited to the task. If you have already deployed an in-house, XMPP-based desktop instant messaging solution, Centova Messenger will integrate seamlessly into your current design. Network Interoperability :: One Client, Many Networks Building on the strengths of the XMPP/Jabber® protocol, Centova Messenger is capable of interacting with many of the most common third-party instant messaging networks on the Internet, including the MSN®, ICQ®, AIM®, and Yahoo!® networks (depending on your XMPP Server configuration). Branding & Themability :: Match your Corporate Identity Centova Messenger was designed with themability and interface customization in mind. Adding your corporate brand is as simple as updating a few image files. Need more flexibility? The Centova Messenger interface was designed using 100% XHTML and CSS. The visual appearance can be completely re-themed by modifying only the CSS - designers need not modify a single line of HTML (although this is certainly possible). Integration & Modification :: Customization Made Easy Centova Messenger was developed using the PHP programming language. To assist in allowing developers to integrate our product with third-party web sites, web applications, and content management systems, Centova Messenger includes a convenient PHP-based programming API to automate many integration tasks. The API makes it easy to automate tasks such as creating new XMPP Server accounts and logging users into Centova Messenger. For developers of other programming languages or other power users who are not developers, Centova Messenger also includes a CGI-based API to automate the same types of integration tasks using nothing more than an HTTP GET request.
