Centova Messenger works with a wide variety of browsers, including:

• Internet Explorer 5.5+ (Windows)
• Mozilla Firefox 0.7+ (Windows, Linux, Mac)
• Mozilla 1.6+ (Windows, Linux)
• Netscape 7.0+ (Windows, Linux)

For typical use, Centova Messenger requires no plug-ins or other additional software on the end-user's computer. However, if sound support is desired, the Macromedia Flash plug-in is required.

Centova Messenger will operate on both Linux and Windows-based servers. You'll need:

Operating system:	Red Hat/CentOS, Debian, Fedora* Windows NT, 2K, XP, or 2003
Webserver:	Apache 1.3.x
PHP:	PHP v4.1+ PHP 5 is NOT currently supported Safe mode must be disabled
XMPP server:	Jabberd v1.4.x Alternate XMPP server support coming soon
Database server:	MySQL v3.23+ or v4.x

Other miscellaneous requirements:

• mod_gzip must be disabled for the Centova Messenger virtual host.
• ionCube Loader is required (it's bundled with Centova Messenger and usually requires no extra setup).
• SSL is strongly recommended (but not required).

* We officially support Debian/RHEL/CentOS/Fedora but other Linuxes should also work.
